UEFA Champion League: Arsenal Fc Vs PSG: Team News, Preview And Predict Match Scores.

 Arsenal vs PSG
UEFA Champions League – Group A
Date: Wednesday, 23rd November 2016.
Kick-off at 19:45 UK.
Venue: Emirates Stadium, London.

Arsenal and PSG have qualified for the knockout stages but their clash at the Emirates on Wednesday night could effectively decide who takes the top spot in Group A.

Both teams have already booked their ticket to the next round, and all that's left to play for is the top spot in Group A and a chance to avoid the other top finishers in the next round. For the Gunners in particular, that would be a major bonus―Arsenal have faced heartbreak at the hands of Europe's giants too often in recent years.

Arsenal are currently the group A leaders on goal difference basis, they are unbeaten in this stage of the competition. Both Arsenal and PSG are on same points 10, having won 3 games and drawn 1 which was the first leg of this fixture. They have both qualified for the next round of the competition as the other 2 teams are tied on same point 1. However a draw in this game will keep Arsenal in the top spot of the group.

Team news

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that he played Sanchez on Saturday despite the him still feeling the effects of a hamstring tear he picked up on international duty.

The Chilean is likely to be given the night off, with Giroud coming in as a reward for his recent performances.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another who could come into the side. The winger came off the bench against Man United to set up Giroud’s equaliser with an excellent run and cross.

Alex Iwobi did not feature at Old Trafford and could return to the line-up with Granit Xhaka, in place of Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed Elneny.

David Ospina will start in goal ahead of Petr Cech as is customary in Europe.

Santi Cazorla and Hector Bellerin remain out with long-term injuries.

PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola will be hoping to recover from injury in time for Wednesday’s match.
Full-back Layvin Kurzawa is another doubt, with veteren Maxwell likely to start in his place.

Angel Di Maria and Javier Pastore were both injured in the weekend win over Nantes and could miss the match.

Jese, Lucas Moura and Hatem Ben Arfa are all available for Unai Emery should the duo be ruled out.

Predicted Arsenal XI: David Ospina, Carl Jenkinson, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal, Francis Coquelin, Granit Xhaka, Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez
